Hello Junior High School Families,
We are pleased to offer Spring Intersession this year from March 23–27 at La Loma Jr. High School. This program will provide both academic support and enrichment opportunities for our students.
Program Hours
Expanded Learning Program (ASES): 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Academic Session: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Lunch: 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM
Enrichment (ASES): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Academic Schedule
1st Period: 8:30 AM – 10:25 AM
Break: 10:25 AM – 10:40 AM
2nd Period: 10:40 AM – 12:30 PM
What is Intersession?
8th Grade – Academic Grade Recovery
Spring Intersession provides 8th grade students with the opportunity to recover up to two semester grades required for promotion.
Students earning an “F” will receive priority placement.
Placement will be determined by the school counselor and site administration.
To earn promotion credit, students must attend all five days of the program.
(No excused absences permitted.)
7th Grade & 8th Grade (No Grade Recovery Needed) – Skill Development
Students not requiring grade recovery will participate in focused English and Math skill development.
Skill development is the intentional process of building, strengthening, and refining the specific abilities students need to think critically, communicate effectively, and problem-solve successfully in each subject area.
Expanded Learning (ASES)
From 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, students will participate in engaging enrichment activities designed to support creativity, collaboration, and personal growth.
Meals & Transportation
Students will be provided:
Hot breakfast
Hot Lunch
After-school snack
Transportation to and from school will be available. Bus Routes
